Letsile Tebogo Says Brutal Things About Usain Bolt’s Record While Jogging Without Shoes: “Won’t Take Long

Letsile Tebogo is optimistic that she would soon break the 200-meter world record.

The athlete is at the height of track and field success; he or she used to practise barefoot since they could not afford training shoes.

Tebogo appears to have maintained his flame after taking home the gold medal from the Olympics in Paris. Participating in the Lausanne Diamond League, the sprinter from Botswana gained additional recognition for himself.

Tebogo won the gold medal with a fantastic time of 19.64 seconds. Tebogo, who has become a respected 200-meter runner, has been making jokes about smashing the world record.

In Paris, the Botswana sprinter was predicted to run a time lower than 19.19 seconds. Even though it didn’t materialise, Tebogo outperformed the others with his 19.46s in Paris. To put things in perspective, Kenny Bednarek, who came in second, finished far slower—his time was 19.62 seconds. When Tebogo was asked when he might beat Usain Bolt’s world record, he was speaking with The Inside Lane during the Lausanne Diamond League. “It won’t take long for me to shatter the 200m world record,” declared a beaming Tebogo.

But he also noted that the sprinter didn’t want to put undue strain on himself by concentrating only on setting a world record. While Tebogo currently enjoys unheard-of levels of recognition and success, his early years were characterised by hardship and labour.
