“I can have a conversation for 10 min with you” – Sha’Carri Richardson on how she’d react to her favorite compliment

At the Paris Olympic Games, Sha’Carri Richardson showed off her skills by winning two medals: a silver in the women’s 100-meter race and a gold in the women’s 4×100-meter relay. Richardson shared her favourite compliment after her great Olympic campaign.

Richardson shared a few little-known details about herself in a “Getting to Know” piece with BBC Sport, including her pre-race emotions and what it’s like to be among the fastest women alive. Regarding her most cherished praise, the current world champion stated:

“Oh my god, I tell myself that you smell good all the time. I can at least talk to you for ten minutes if you tell me that I smell wonderful. That is a complement.”

Richardson continued by saying that she always senses people’s anxiety when they are around her. She asserted that her ability to sprint quickly is the only thing that separates her from others.

It’s strange, folks get nervous when they meet me. However, I’ll be like, “Hey, baby, I’m you; I just run fast.” That’s all, “Richardson declared.

About her feelings leading up to the race, Richardson continued:

“Everyone needs to be extremely silent and serious because things are really tight back there. I was just like, “Y’all, sure, we’re going to race each other, sure, we’re going to do what we’re going to do regardless, but still, whoosah!”

Richardson displayed her distinctive manicures without hesitation when asked about them during the interview. She also mentioned that people have been asking her a lot of questions because of her long nails.

“When I’m out in public and people ask me questions like, ‘Oh my gosh, what do you do for a living?’ and ‘How do you manage with those nails?’ I can,” she affirmed.

Sha’Carri Richardson responded as follows when asked about any other skill she possesses speed at and how it feels to be quick:

“Speaking. I can absolutely run out of things occasionally. My training partners and squad literally said, “Huh, what did you just say?”

She responded as follows when asked what it feels like to run quickly:

“You know how everything seems to be slowing down in the movies, and the only thing moving is you? I feel just like that.”
