PM offers rugby collaboration

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka spoke with Chinese President Xi Jinping about ways to improve rugby cooperation when he was in China.

In an effort to deepen bilateral relations through sports, Rabuka offered Fiji the chance to send rugby coaches and players to China at a meeting with President Xi. This came after Fiji won the silver medal in rugby at the Paris Olympics last month.

In the face of global challenges, President Xi affirmed Beijing’s commitment to establishing a China-Fiji community with a shared future. He also lauded Fiji’s recent sporting achievements.
