Nasinu’s long wait is almost ended.

Nasinu’s long wait is almost ended.

This Saturday marks the eagerly anticipated return of Nasinu Secondary School to the Vodafone Deans Under-18 final, having been absent for over ten years.

When Nasinu faced Queen Victoria School—the same school they will face again—in 2012, they last made it to this point.

Even though Nasinu is smaller than its opponents, coach Mika Yasiyasi is sure that his team’s greater level of fitness will be their main advantage.

“We will always focus on improving our lack of size while we get ready for the team. We have been attempting to keep ourselves in shape thus far because there is still one more mountain to climb.

Yasiyasi continues, saying that on Saturday they would work on their assigned tasks and attempt to carry out and execute what is best for the team.

This Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva, there will be the highly anticipated Deans under-18 final between Nasinu and QVS.
