Martin Brundle ‘disappointed’ in Max Verstappen as Red Bull F1 sack claim made

Martin Brundle maintains that a Red Bull team member would have been fired if they had gone on a foul-mouthed tirade similar to what Max Verstappen did in Hungary.

Several of his competitors are now winning races at the expense of the Dutchman, signalling the end of his domination. Verstappen became more and more irate with his team and the plan they put him on as McLaren won 1-2 in Budapest.

He let the world know how angry he was by broadcasting it on team radio. In response to a message expressing his frustration, his race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase said, “No mate, don’t give me that s***.” I’m sorry, but you people gave me this s*** tactic. My goal is to save what remains. F***!

After a collision with Lewis Hamilton, Verstappen eventually finished sixth in the rankings. Since then, he has had open discussions with high-ranking Red Bull officials, but Brundle was not impressed by his explicit outbursts.

McLaren targets Max Verstappen while making demands from Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.

Toto Wolff is being held accountable following a report on his relationship with Adrian Newey.

“They won’t change the way they go about doing things if you keep telling them they’re always right, even when they’re wrong,” he stated. However, I find it intriguing that Max is currently driving in such a hostile manner. He may have even lost a victory in Hungary when he stumbled over Lewis and was having difficulty, costing him at least third place.

“And you know, the team has done some amazing things for him in terms of strategy to win races and world championships. I can only picture what would happen if the pit wall had smacked Lewis and said, ‘That was garbage driving, Max. Get yourself together.'” “Beep, beep, beep.” That individual would be fired, and it would be incredibly strange. But honestly, is it any different?

Brundle continued, saying, “I was not happy with what he did. You can’t really humiliate your team in public like that, in my opinion. Shut the door, turn around, and learn why they were acting the way they were.”

After getting in touch with Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen took off and finished fifth.

In the aftermath, Christian Horner was quick to justify Verstappen’s outburst, saying, “Look, Max was frustrated, which you can understand.” They’ll talk about it amongst them because he and his engineer have a really open channel of communication.”

Verstappen has driven for Red Bull for the previous three world championships, and they have given him the opportunity to finish every race he has ever won in his Formula 1 career. He is still the favourite to win a fourth championship.

Verstappen’s frustration may have been influenced by the fact that McLaren is currently the fastest car on the grid; it would take a greater push in the second half of the season for someone like Lando Norris to get up to the defending world champion.
