Yusuf has faith in Baby Bula Boys

Mohammed Yusuf, the CEO of the Fiji Football Association, expressed confidence in the Digicel Fiji Baby Bula Boys’ ability to qualify for the FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar the following year.

 

The is scheduled to play Tahiti in the semi-finals of the OFC Under-16 Championship tomorrow. Should they defeat Tahiti, they would automatically qualify for the world cup.

 

According to Yusuf, the team has demonstrated its mettle during the pool matches and he thinks they are far more capable than they have showed.

 

“We have complete faith in both the team and its management. And we anticipate that Fijians will follow the game on FIFA Plus tomorrow at 4 p.m. Fiji Time. We also appreciate the support of the Fijian football community. This is a historic match, and if Fiji wins, they’ll go to the World Cup.

 

He continues, saying that the side is proud of itself regardless of the result since they have been working hard over the last few months to achieve where they are.

 

The team plays Tahiti tomorrow at 4 p.m.
