When is Sha’Carri Richardson running?

Although Sha’Carri Richardson did not leave her main event at the 2024 Paris Olympics with gold, she still has one more chance to bring home the top medal with the U.S. team.

Richardson, one of the fastest sprinters in the world, earned silver in the women’s 100-meter final on Saturday, ranking second behind Julien Alfred of Saint Lucia, the country’s first Olympic medal in any event.

Silver was Richardson’s first ever Olympic medal, but she still has a chance to win another this week with her teammates in the women’s 4 × 100-meter relay.

When is Sha’Carri Richardson competing in the Olympics?

Sha’Carri Richardson opened her 2024 Olympic schedule in Paris Aug. 2 with the women’s 100-meter prelims, winning her heat with ease. The semi-final and the final were held on Saturday, Aug. 3, and although Richardson was going for gold, she won the silver medal.

Richardson’s time for the 100-meter final was 10.87, coming in second to Julien Alfred of Saint Lucia, who registered a time of 10.72 seconds. Richardson’s training partner and her colleague, Melissa Jefferson, won bronze with 10.92.

She will not run on Tuesday, Aug. 6.

She also has a spot on the relay team and will participate later in the week in the women’s 4 x 100-meter relay, with Round 1 starting Thursday, Aug. 8.
