An Egyptian boxer got battered by Caleb Plant’s entourage after trying to confront him at Terence Crawford vs Israil Madrimov.
A video uploaded to Plant’s X shows light heavyweight Ahmed Elbiali lunging at ‘Sweet Hands’ before being taken down and pummelled on the ground by a group of his friends at Los Angeles’ BMO Stadium on Saturday night.
Plant tagged Elbiali in the clip and captioned the post: “@mericanpharaoh pressin’ me for no reason just to catch the beats from the homies.
“Told bro it wasn’t going to go like he thought & sure enough he wound up on the ground in the fetal position gettin’ beat like a [drum].
“1 day they’ll learn that I don’t want problems but you don’t either.”
It is unclear what was said for emotions to run so high, while Elbiali has yet to give his side of the story at the time of writing.
But what is known is that they are former sparring partners and aren’t the biggest fans of each other.
Speaking about his time in camp with Plant in 2022 to TRU SCHOOL SPORTS, Elbiali said: “He’s a bullied arrogant little f***ing kid bro.
“He’s a white world champion with nice coloured eyes and he has everything in the world.
“Come on man, he’s American, he has it all. He comes from Tennessee.
“There is no reason for him to act the way he does… Caleb acts like a freaking a***hole.”
Elbiali is 23-1 as a pro with the sole blemish on his record coming against former light-heavyweight world champion Jean Pascal in 2017.
The 33-year-old was stopped in the sixth round and hasn’t stepped back up in competition since.
Plant is a former IBF super middleweight champion, best known for his four-belt shootout with Canelo Alvarez in 2021, which he lost via eleventh-round TKO.
The American has fought twice since, beating Anthony Dirrell and losing to David Benavidez.

He was supposed to square off against Trevor McCumby on August 17 but the fight was postponed after McCumby suffered a cut over his right eye.
The contest has now been rescheduled for the Canelo vs Edgar Berlanga undercard on September 14 in Las Vegas.
