Simone Biles trolls Trump after Olympic win: ‘I love my Black job’

After winning every category at the Paris Olympics this week, Simone Biles took a jab at Donald Trump by saying she loved her “Black job.”

Before she even set foot in France, the 27-year-old superstar had already established herself as the most decorated gymnast in Team USA history. She then created further history this week when she won her second gold medal of the year and her sixth at the Olympics.

Following Trump’s shocking comments about Kamala Harris’ racial heritage at the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) conference, Biles took to social media to troll him after winning gold in the all-around competition on Thursday. She is now the oldest and third woman to win the top medal twice.

The gymnast reshared two images of herself flashing her sparkling gold medal, grinning and pouting in her team jacket covered in diamonds. She had just surpassed Brazil’s Rebeca Andrad by more than a point with an astounding score of 59.131.

Early on Friday morning, she posted, “I love my Black job,” along with a black love heart.

Many took to social media to share their own Trump mocking, with one person joking, “Hang on Trump is saying you only just become Black.”

“You’re black right now? I mistook you for a gymnast. You’re black now, too? Another laughed.

Trump has faced backlash on social media for using the term “Black jobs,” but he brought it up once more this week at his dismal appearance at the NABJ.

The former president said that immigrants are stealing “Black jobs” in front of a group of Black journalists.

He asserted, when asked to define a Black job, that “a Black job is anybody that has a job.” That’s the reality.

Additionally, he made derogatory remarks about Harris, the first Asian-American and Black vice president, asserting erroneously and outrageously that she had only lately “happened to turn Black.”

He asked, “So I don’t know – Is she Indian? I didn’t realise she was Black until a number of years ago when she occurred to turn Black and now she wants to be known as Black.” Or is she of African descent?

Democrats, commentators, and the general public have reacted angrily to Trump’s racially offensive comments.

The hashtag #WhenIturnedBlack trended on X after he spoke at the event, and others took to social media to make fun of his insane remarks.

On Wednesday, during the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) convention in Chicago, Illinois, Donald Trump talks on a panel (Reuters)

“Where were you when your body was ultimately overtaken by darkness? Tell us about your experiences. Roy Wood Jr., a former Comedy Central star, said in an X post with the hashtag, “This is a safe space.”

In an interview with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, Mark Kelly, Harris’s probable running mate, called the remarks “overtly racist” and claimed they showed Trump to be a “desperate and fearful old guy.”

Meanwhile, Trump’s running mate, JD Vance, was ready to jump to his defence.

The senator from Ohio, who is married to Usha Chilukuri, an Indian woman, and together they have three mixed-race children, dismissed the criticism as “hysterical.”

Vance remarked, “How good it is to have an American leader who’s not afraid to genuinely answer some challenging questions in hostile regions.” “I believe he highlighted Kamala Harris’ innate chameleon-like qualities.”
