Bryson DeChambeau trolls PGA Tour over latest announcement

Before the final round of the PGA Tour, Bryson DeChambeau made a joke about not getting his invitation to the first-ever “Creator Classic.”

 

The most well-known golf creators from across the world will compete in a nine-hole match before to the Tour Championship at East Lake, the North American circuit announced on July 30.

 

Live coverage of the competition will be available on multiple platforms, including the PGA Tour’s YouTube page.

 

Thus far, the industry has produced such creators as Garrett Clark, Brad Dalke, Sean Walsh from Good Good, Fat Perez, George and Wesley Bryan, Tyler Toney from Dude Perfect, and Bob Does Sports.

 

Following the announcement, 30-year-old Dechambeau remarked, “I’m waiting for my invite.”

 

One of the most well-liked golf makers on YouTube right now is DeChambeau, who joined the rival LIV Golf League in 2022.

 

Donald Trump, a former US president, just made an appearance on the most current edition of his “Break 50” series thanks to his efforts.

 

Approximately 800,000 people subscribed to DeChambeau’s video when he went live.

 

He currently has more than 1.1 million subscribers, and the video is getting close to 10 million views as of this writing.

 

The competition will take place the night before the Tour Championship, where the top 30 professionals on the PGA Tour who advanced through the FedEx Cup playoffs will square off for the title of FedEx Cup winner.

 

Currently holding the title is Viktor Hovland.

 

The Tour Championship is scheduled for August 29–September 1, with a $18 million prize pool for the winner.

 

The YouTube celebrities will play in the same circumstances as the pros at the recently renovated East Lake Golf Club.

 

Eight holes of gross stroke play will comprise the tournament, with the top four finishers advancing to a playoff.

 

The PGA Tour has already explored YouTube this season on previous occasions.

 

A number of well-known YouTubers competed in a qualifying for the PGA Tour’s first-ever Myrtle Beach Classic in April.

 

Participating actors included Grant Horvat, Micah Morris, Peter Finch, and the previously mentioned George Bryan.

 

The qualifying was won by seasoned Korn Ferry Tour veteran Matt Atkins.
