In response to Lewis Hamilton’s criticism of his performance at the Hungarian Grand Prix last weekend, Max Verstappen has answered.
Verstappen was unhappy with the plan he was given and publicly humiliated the Red Bull organisation over the team radio.
His tirade on the radio had been coming before he had even gotten in touch with Hamilton during their race for third place.
Given that Red Bull is facing more pressure from competing teams, Hamilton was questioned about Verstappen’s antics and responded that a driver needs to behave like a world champion in order to guide the team.
“Not like it was last weekend,” Hamilton said in response to the question of how a world champion ought to behave.
Viaplay brought up Hamilton’s remark to Verstappen, and the three-time world champion dismissed the matter.
Verstappen remarked, “You know what, everyone can have their view.” That’s all well and good, but there’s nothing I can do about it.
That’s also not a problem for me. It’s also not necessary for you to think about it for too long. Everything is resolved, so let’s move on.”
Verstappen’s outspoken criticism of Red Bull’s approach has received a lot of attention; nonetheless, the Dutchman stated he hasn’t paid attention to the feedback from other sources.
Verstappen said, “For me, it is, anyway,” in response to the question of whether it was a technique.
Naturally, everyone has an opinion of their own and goes about their daily lives. When I get home, I do my thing. It was also pleasant to spend some time in Monaco.”
