Fans of Formula 1 saw Max Verstappen’s reaction after he lost to Lewis Hamilton, a former adversary, in Sunday’s British Grand Prix.
The Dutchman had a difficult start to the race, but by the finish, he was pulling away. With a few circuits remaining, he passed Lando Norris and began chasing Hamilton. However, he ran out of time, and the seven-time Formula One champion won for the first time since December 2021.
The 39-year-old, overwhelmed with emotion, was crying beneath his helmet during his cool-down lap as he thanked the Silverstone audience. Additionally, Hamilton was seen as a popular winner outside of the grandstands as well.
In addition, Norris, a fellow Brit, was spotted approaching the Mercedes and offering his congratulations to Hamilton despite his own disappointment. According to the driver-facing camera installed on his Red Bull, Verstappen followed suit.

“When you are so talented, that is not difficult to accomplish; it doesn’t require much work. It’s amazing how well he’s handled his championships. He has made a difference by speaking up when necessary.”
