Max Verstappen’s car camera captures act towards Lewis Hamilton after Silverstone race

Fans of Formula 1 saw Max Verstappen’s reaction after he lost to Lewis Hamilton, a former adversary, in Sunday’s British Grand Prix.

The Dutchman had a difficult start to the race, but by the finish, he was pulling away. With a few circuits remaining, he passed Lando Norris and began chasing Hamilton. However, he ran out of time, and the seven-time Formula One champion won for the first time since December 2021.

The 39-year-old, overwhelmed with emotion, was crying beneath his helmet during his cool-down lap as he thanked the Silverstone audience. Additionally, Hamilton was seen as a popular winner outside of the grandstands as well.

In addition, Norris, a fellow Brit, was spotted approaching the Mercedes and offering his congratulations to Hamilton despite his own disappointment. According to the driver-facing camera installed on his Red Bull, Verstappen followed suit.

After winning Silverstone, George Russell sent Lewis Hamilton a four-word letter that sums everything up.

At the height of his brutal title struggle with Verstappen, which resulted in controversy, Hamilton achieved his most recent victory. Because of this, they haven’t always agreed, but following Sunday’s Grand Prix, there was a lot of mutual respect on display.

They were making jokes with each other after getting out of their autos and waiting in the cool-down area for the podium ceremony. “It’s been a while,” Verstappen said to Hamilton with a sly smile. The British man then laughed and called the Dutchman a “ball-hogger,” alluding to his recent domination.

Speaking to Dutch reporters, Verstappen persisted in his charm attack, telling them that “they were only a little bit faster than us, but they drove a solid race and made the right calls.” And it’s always amazing for him to triumph in front of his home crowd.”

Verstappen hinted earlier this year that the two have put their prior dispute behind them. He declared: “It’s really simple; I don’t think our connection is tough at all. Simply said, you have closer relationships with other people. It largely relies on how you conduct your life, and maybe that is not how we are alike.

“In the end, we do have a lot of respect for each other, despite the fact that we obviously had a strong rivalry in 2021. He is unquestionably among the best drivers of all time. I don’t need to or want to refute that. His secret is to remain at the top of his game and to be consistent.

“When you are so talented, that is not difficult to accomplish; it doesn’t require much work. It’s amazing how well he’s handled his championships. He has made a difference by speaking up when necessary.”
