Juventus, who had difficulties acquiring Nottingham Forest’s Murillo, is about to rekindle their interest in Arsenal player Jakub Kiwior.
The Old Lady started pursuing Kiwior in the summer with the goal of signing a new centre defender.
He isn’t for sale during this transfer window, Arsenal has made that clear.
After that, Juventus focused on acquiring other players, and they were eager to sign Forest’s Murillo.
The Brazilian has been among the best players in the Premier League for the role he plays, and Forest was prepared to sell to meet FFP requirements.
The move has reportedly fallen through, according to a Sport Italia report, since Juventus will not be able to recruit a player with a non-EU passport this summer.
They have now filled that position and are in need of a bearer of an EU passport to join them, which is why they are once more focusing on Kiwior.
In the next few days, they will try again to recruit him, and it will be interesting to see what Arsenal thinks of their approach.
