Roman Reigns breaks silence following heartbreaking news

WWE star Roman Reigns took to social media Tuesday to address the outpouring of love after the news broke that his father, Sika Anoa’i, had died.

Sika, a WWE Hall of Famer, was 79.

“My family and I thank everyone for the outpouring of support in the name of my father, Pola’ivao Leati Sika Anoa’i, who will forever be remembered as one half of The Wild Samoans tag team,” he wrote. “My father had a profound impact on my entire family and we are forever grateful for the foundation he built for us. There’s no way to fill the void left by this passing but my sisters and I will do our best to represent and his legacy.”

Sika was best known for his run alongside Afa in The Wild Samoans. The duo, per PWInsider, helped bring about the Anoa’i dynasty which consists of a long list of children and cousins that included the likes of The Rock, Rikishi, Jimmy Snuka right up until today’s popular “Bloodline” storyline in WWE.

The “Wild Samoans” worked together from 1973 all the way up through 1997.

They also opened a wrestling school where they trained the likes of Yokozuna, Junkyard Dog, Paul Orndorff, Bam Bam Bigelow and Batista.

Reigns is one of the top wrestling draws in the world. His real name is Joseph Anoa’i.
