JJ Redick makes his thoughts clear about Anthony Davis

With the Los Angeles Lakers, JJ Redick has officially begun his career as head coach, and he is prepared to turn the franchise around.

During his Monday introduction to the media and ardent Lakers supporters, he made it apparent that he already had plans to make changes for the team.

Redick discussed Anthony Davis and the Lakers’ defence on ESPN Los Angeles.

Redick described Davis as “a top five defensive player” and stated that the squad ought to have one of the league’s strongest defences.

That’s a big objective, but is Redick capable of achieving it?

The Lakers’ defence did indeed shut out almost every other team a few years ago, and it helped them win their most recent title.

Since then, Los Angeles’ situation has changed, and their defence has under constant criticism.

Davis, meanwhile, has been receiving a lot of plaudits and recently had one of his greatest seasons ever.

It is obvious that the Lakers must do more to assist Davis in order to have multiple potent defensive players on the court at once.

Over the past few seasons, the team has added a few more quality big guys, but injuries and poor management have prevented them from succeeding.

How is Redick going to ensure that the Lakers are getting rebounds, blocks, stops, and more?

Taking on this responsibility is likely going to be one of his major challenges as the team’s new head coach.

The Lakers need to make a lot of adjustments, but defence should probably come first.
