Rory McIlroy decision means he won’t see Amanda Balionis while he’s with wife

After his disappointing performance at the U.S. Open and after Amanda Balionis’ holiday, Rory McIlroy has withdrew from this week’s Traveler’s Championship.

When McIlroy had a two-shot lead with five holes remaining at Pinehurst No. 2 just last week, supporters thought his ten-year major drought might be coming to an end.

The 35-year-old, however, cruelly missed two short putts over a stretch of three bogeys, which allowed Bryson DeChambeau to win the match with a stunning finish at the 18th hole.

During Rory McIlroy’s break, there were “unfortunate rumours” and a marital “realisation.”

A dejected McIlroy left Pinehurst No. 2 shortly after DeChambeau sealed the victory, unable to accept his defeat.

After taking a flight to Florida, the Northern Irish golfer announced his withdrawal from the Traveler’s Championship at TPC River Highlands in Connecticut on social media, expressing his emotions. While McIlroy was competing against DeChambeau for the U.S.

With rival network NBC holding the tournament rights, Open champion and CBS Sports’ Balionis was having a vacation from the greens and fairways in the Hamptons with friends. She posted pictures of herself and her friends lounging in the sun on social media, flaunting their bikini styles.

When McIlroy and Balionis temporarily separated from their wives Erica Stoll, rumours started to circulate about them, but they later decided to call off their divorce. The fact that McIlroy won’t be playing with Balionis at TPC River Highlands this weekend means that he will take a vacation from golf to spend time with his family. He is scheduled to return shortly before The Open at Royal Troon next month.

At the U.S. Open, Rory McIlroy endured a heartbreaking loss in his quest for an elusive fifth major championship.

In an Instagram statement on Monday, McIlroy said, “Yesterday was a tough day, arguably the worst I’ve had in my nearly 17 years as a professional golfer.” “Let me start by congratulating Bryson. He is a deserving champion and the perfect addition to professional golf at this time. On that, I think we can all agree. For the greatest and most recent sports news, follow us on X.When I look back on my week, I’ll regret a few things that happened throughout the competition, primarily the two putts that I missed on the last day on holes 16 and 18.

I will, however, focus on the positives of the week, which far exceed the issues, as I always strive to do. I feel more than ever that I’m going to win my next major championship, as I stated at the beginning of the competition.

“Resilient is the one term I would choose to sum up my career. Over the past 17 years, I have repeatedly demonstrated my resilience, and I will do so once more.

In order to analyse everything and get myself back up for my defence of the Genesis Scottish Open and The Open at Royal Troon, I’m going to take a few weeks off from the game.

I’ll see you in Scotland.
