Despite having agreed to face Oleksandr Usyk again, British heavyweight veteran Derek Chisora shared his thoughts on the new video of a seemingly intoxicated Tyson Fury collapsing onto the pavement.

When he lost a split decision to the crafty Ukrainian in a heavyweight classic for the undisputed title last month, “The Gipsy King” experienced his first career defeat. But Fury quickly used his rematch clause to force a rematch because he felt confident enough in his ability to exact revenge after his victory in the middle rounds.

Fury and Usyk have agreed to rematch on December 21 in Riyadh as a result, but the British fighter nevertheless made the wise decision to enjoy some well-earned drinks with his pals last week, but it is obvious that he had a few too many.

Chisora, who faced Fury three times and lost each time, told iFL TV that he did not understand the criticism levelled at him and instead praised Fury for being able to rejoice following such a difficult loss.

There is nothing wrong with it; he is free to go have a drink. What’s the issue? Oh my god, we’re British! We are not inebriated enough if we go out to drink and we don’t f***ing fall on our knees.

“We have to be wasted in order to wake up, grab a few fish and chips, and ask ourselves, ‘What am I doing in here?'” Bravo to Tyson for honouring his life; remember, he’s only having fun, so don’t worry. He is deserving of it.

Former World Title Challenger for the Super-Lightweight Class Announces Retirement

When Fury and Usyk fight again, it won’t be for the undisputed title because the IBF is expected to remove Usyk from the fight soon and give the vacant belt to Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois, who will fight at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday, June 26. Turki Al-Alshikh will make the announcement.

In the meantime, Derek Chisora will fight in an all-British heavyweight match in an attempt to defy the odds and win multiple fights in a row for the first time since 2019. “Del Boy” will take on the intimidating Joe Joyce; a loss would seem to be the end of both of their careers, while a victory would put them in a matchup with another well-known fighter in the division.

That card is scheduled for July 27 at London’s O2 Arena and will stream live on TNT Sports. Fans can look forward to a thrilling rematch between Dennis McCann and Ionut Baluta for the European super-bantamweight title on the undercard. Additionally, Aadam Hamed, the son of Prince Naseem Hamed, will make his professional debut with a first-round knockout victory over Vojtech Hrdy on the Usyk-Dubois card.

In the upcoming weeks, more confirmations of additions to that bill are anticipated; prospects like Moses Itauma and recently signed Brandun Lee from Queensberry are anticipated to be among them.
