Not only has the team been hard at work in their practices and training, but the front office has been doing its part, trying to get various deals done.

They’ve already signed Jaylen Waddle to a massive extension, but Tua Tagovailoa has yet to reach a similar agreement with the team.

Tagovailoa hasn’t made many public comments about the situation, but fans, analysts, and players continue to escalate this situation.

Cameron Wolfe recently talked about this in a segment on the NFL Network, as shared by FinsExtra on Twitter.

“It’s the Dolphins’ number one priority, and there’s still hope from both sides to get a deal before the start of the regular season… All of Miami’s star players have been vocal, Tua needs to be paid,” Wolfe said.

Wolfe indicated that the Dolphins aren’t trying to drag their feet on this and are working tirelessly to get a deal into place.

Several teams around the NFL are either working on similar extensions with their top young quarterbacks or have signed them in the past 12 months.

When a quarterback sees their peer get paid a lot of money, they seemingly fight and bargain to get paid the same, if not more, if they believe they are better than that player.

It will be interesting to see when Tagovailoa gets paid, and how much his contract will be worth.

Fans are waiting to see how the team moves forward with Tagovailoa, especially after seeing how he has performed in recent seasons
