Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis once again proved why he is one of the most dangerous fighters on the planet as he knocked out Frank Martin to retain his WBA lightweight title – and now he has revealed who he would be willing to face next.
It had been a back and forth contest up until that point but then ‘Tank’ displayed his incredible power to stop his opponent in the eighth round of their bout at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
It means that Davis extends his undefeated record to 29-0, with an incredible 27 of those victories coming by knockout.
Both men had success during the early stages of the bout, and it appeared to be a close contest as it entered the second half of the fight.
That all changed in round seven after a big round for Davis, and it went from bad to worse for Martin when ‘Tank’ went for the finish the following round.
A huge onslaught on the ropes ended with a massive left hook which sent Martin crashing to the canvas, earning Davis yet another memorable knockout win.
During his post-fight press conference, ‘Tank’ then revealed who he would be willing to face next, beginning with IBF champion Vasyl Lomachenko, after reports that the pair are already in negotiations for a bout later this year.
“For sure, yeah for sure. I’m willing to fight all of them. My prediction [against Loma]? A** whooping time.”

Davis also responded to Ryan Garcia asking for a rematch, following ‘Tank’ getting a knockout win last year.
“Ryan? He’s crazy. He was talking about a rematch. He said I was the best at 135 and 140 too. He says he wants to fight me again? I’ll kick his a** again.”
‘Tank’ finished by answering whether he would be willing to take on WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson.
“You know how it would go. Everybody in this room knows how it would go. I guess it would be good for the sport if we fight. Now or later.”
In the co-main event, David Benavidez defeated Oleksandr Gvzodyk by unanimous decision to win the WBC interim light heavyweight title.
The victory means that Benavidez is now mandatory for the winner of the bout between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol, whilst also being mandatory for Canelo Alvarez back at 168lbs pounds too.
