The clash between the former undisputed world heavyweight champion and YouTuber-turned-boxer has been postponed after Tyson suffered a flare-up of an ulcer during a flight.
His team insisted that he had made a full recovery, but medical professionals said that the original date would be too soon for him.
It was announced that the new date for their clash is now November 15 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas as opposed to July 20.
“New date for Jake’s wake,” Tyson said after the news was revealed, with Paul sending a threatening message in response.
However, he has issued another message to his opponent, with both fighters now having to wait another five months to meet.
“Different date, same fate. Imma knock out Jake Paul,” he said in a video on X.
Following the rescheduling, Tyson declared the medical setback won’t affect his preparations, as he stated: “Although we had to postpone the fight, I will resume training shortly.
“I am thankful to the medical staff that treated me and to MVP, Netflix, and AT&T Stadium for working diligently to find the best reschedule date for all parties.
“While we have a new date, the result will be the same no matter when we fight. Jake Paul is getting knocked out.
“On Friday, November 15, watch this in person at AT&T Stadium or live on Netflix.”
The fight will see Tyson return to the ring for the first time since November 2020 when he drew with Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition bout.

During his professional career, the 57-year-old won 50 of his 58 fights, with 44 of those being knockout victories.
However, Tyson will face a whole new test when he faces Paul, whose record currently stands at 9-1.
They will box over eight, two-minute rounds instead of the usual three-minute rounds with 14oz gloves.
