Aston Villa name-checked as mystery bid made for rising star whose value is skyrocketing

Aston Villa has been reported as one of the clubs pursuing a transfer for a rising star, with an anonymous team making an offer in recent days.

Villans stay on path for the Champions League.

Unai Emery and Aston Villa appear to be in for a great season. The Midlands club is presently fourth in the Premier League, and despite a 4-1 loss to Manchester City on midweek, they did not suffer too much, as both teams below them in the top four race also dropped points.

They currently lead fifth-placed Tottenham by two points, but Ange Postecoglou’s team has a game in hand. More crucially, both teams have a significant lead over Manchester United, with the Red Devils 11 points behind Aston Villa and nine behind Tottenham.

Given that fifth place in the Premier League will almost certainly result in Champions League play next season, Villa are poised to return to Europe’s top league unless the season ends disastrously. They may still complete the season with silverware, as they face Lille in the UEFA Conference League quarterfinals, and if they advance, they will face either Olympiacos or Fenerbahce.

However, with roughly £120 million in losses announced earlier in the season, raising financial fair play worries, this summer could be more frugal than last year, unless they part ways with one of their stars. Instead, Villa may have to outwit the market, and it appears that they are already doing so.

Villa is tipped as the team chasing Muci.

That comes as a report from Turkey suggests they may be interested in signing emerging talent Ernest Muci. The midfielder, who joined Besiktas from Legia Warsaw in January, is quickly becoming a highly sought-after prospect.

The attacking midfielder has two goals in seven appearances for his new team, but Villa supporters will remember him for his three goals in two games against them earlier this season.

Ernest Muci Since arriving in Turkey, Douglas Luiz Muci has piqued European curiosity. Besiktas president Hasam Arat has stated that he has rejected one deal and intends to keep the Albanian beyond this summer.

“A European team made a 20-million-Euro bid for Ernest Muci. “But I declined the offer,” Arat stated. “He is a player with great potential and we want him to stay with us next season.”

Aston Villa’s manager, Unai Emery.

According to Turkish outlet Fanatik, the club in question might be Villa, who are looking to bolster their squad in order to compete further next season. Emery’s team will need to enhance their offer, however, as Muci’s star continues to grow.

According to Transfermarkt, his value has climbed by more than 6x in the last year and is expected to rise more if he maintains his current form in Turkey.
