“What these two Man City attackers are doing is so ‘important’ this season,” says Rodri, calling it “incredible

Rodri has expressed his opinions about Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez playing together for Manchester City.

The summer transfer window of 2022 saw the arrival of the two strikers at the Manchester club.

The two are hoping to take home even more hardware this season after winning three titles in their debut season together.

However, a different City player has since voiced his opinions about the striking combination and their ability to work well together.

Alvarez and Haaland, according to Rodri, are “incredible.”

When asked about playing the Argentine and Haaland together, Rodri had this to say in a recent feature story about Alvarez that was posted on the team’s website.

Of course we can play with both, he replied. This is extremely significant because both of them are goal scorers and strikers, and Julian can play a variety of positions. It’s also significant because, while having one goal scorer is fantastic, having two is amazing and demonstrates Julian’s ability to follow the manager’s instructions.

Together, Alvarez and Haaland have appeared in 58 games across all competitions during their time with the Citizens.

The two have combined for eight joint goal participations in those games; the Argentine has assisted six goals for Haaland while the Norwegian has assisted two goals for Alvarez.

The fact that Haaland has more shots at goal (87) and Alvarez has more crucial passes (61) than any other City player in the Premier League this season shows how much of an impact the two players have on City’s offense.

The fact that the Argentina international has played in multiple positions this season, as Rodri noted, demonstrates Pep Guardiola’s value in having both players on the same team.

Looking ahead to the rest of the year, the two will give City a strong chance to win more trophies if they can consistently contribute to goals.
