“Much too good”: Pundit believes the Spurs player is now valued at £80m

Heung-min Darren Bent believes that despite Son’s age of thirty-one, he is still worth up to £80 million in the current market. The former Tottenham player maintains that he is shocked that the team’s captain has never signed with another team and feels that he needs to take home a trophy before calling it quits.

Son has developed into a true Tottenham icon since joining the team in 2015. With 159 goals, he is currently the club’s fifth-highest scorer ever and serves as captain.

Son has been Ange Postecoglou’s bright spot this season. With 14 goals and eight assists in the Premier League (Transfermarkt), the South Korean sensation has brought the club together like never before and is now clearly creating a very good environment.

Son has to win a championship with the Spurs.

Son has not yet taken home a significant club trophy with Spurs. Now that the team seems to be moving in the right direction thanks to Postecoglou’s revolution, there is hope that this will alter soon.

Darren Bent has voiced his surprise that no other team has ever made a serious attempt to entice Son away from North London, believing that Son is simply too talented a player to never win a title.

TalkSPORT (13/03, 5.15 PM) quoted him as saying, “Far too good not to win anything.” Far too wonderful. I’m not sure [why no teams have made a move for him]. Payments of £70m or £80m would be required. What a role model.

Spurs  Views

I have no doubt that Sonny and the Spurs will shortly receive a trophy. He is among our best players ever, and before his career ends, he genuinely deserves to have enormous success. If he was never able to raise a trophy as our captain, that would be a great shame.
