Ange Postecoglou is quite upset with one explanation for Tottenham’s defeat at Fulham, saying, “That’s not the reason

Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Tottenham, was not thrilled with his team’s performance this evening as Fulham crushed them.

The Australian watched in shock as his players gave in to the Cottagers’ pressure. Tottenham just couldn’t shoot well in the attacking phase and couldn’t defend well enough.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg did, in fact, look irritated with Pedro Porro at one point. The Danish player chastised the Spanish defender for not being more physical, and that was pretty much it for Tottenham that evening.

After the game, manager Postecoglou seemed to be in a prickly mood as well, as seen by his harsh response to a claim (BBC) that his team’s defeat was due to Micky van de Ven’s injury.

We did not perform today for that reason. We didn’t perform today for no reason other than Micky van de Ven, Postecoglou stated.

Van de Ven would have meant a loss for Tottenham.

Even while the Dutchman may have slightly altered the course of events, Spurs’ night was essentially simply one of those ones.

Both on defense and offense, important players were in excellent shape. Defenseman Destiny Udogie had a nightmare since he contributed nothing on either side of the ball. James Maddison and other midfielders had difficulty as well.

Van van Ven in the starting lineup may have helped a little bit in the end, but Fulham was so excellent and Tottenham so awful that the outcome would have remained the same.

Postecoglou and his team have a lot of work ahead of them with two weeks until the next game.

It’s unclear what the Australian will think of his performance and how it feels to lose this match after defeating Aston Villa so handily.

Van van Ven will want to make sure his man is back for the resumption to football at the end of the month, even though Postecoglou dismissed this one.
