“Confirmed information”: Tottenham is currently seeking a £42 million defender with more tackles than Romero – reporter

Willian Pacho, a defender for Eintracht Frankfurt, is a target for Tottenham during the summer transfer window.

Spurs really seem to be enjoying their season, don’t they? They still have a game in hand and are now only two points behind Aston Villa in fourth place. They have a good chance of qualifying for the Champions League the next season, and Ange Postecoglou will require help if Tottenham does. One player they would like to sign is Pacho.

Tottenham is interested in signing Willian Pacho of Eintracht Frankfurt.

Tottenham does, I believe, currently have a strong defense?

Unquestionably the best center backs in the Premier League are Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, who start at the back.

In order to cover for the aforementioned two, Radu Dragusin—a Romanian talent with enormous potential—was brought in. Thus far, he has looked excellent in every game that he has played.

Tottenham is anticipated to add a second center-back, most likely a left-footed player, in the summer. Willian Pacho of Frankfurt is reportedly a top target right now.

At the conclusion of the January transfer window, Sacha Tavolieri stated that Tottenham was considering acquiring the Eintracht Frankfurt defender. The same journalist said yesterday that he now has “confirmed” information, implying that he is positive Spurs want him.

Pacho is being pursued by Arsenal as well, and according to the journalist, Frankfurt is want £42 million for Pacho’s release.

Tavolieri tweeted: “Verification of the Information! On Willian Pacho, Spurs. will also have to contend with Arsenal, who have their sights set on the SGE defender.

“Eintracht Frankfurt requested 50 million euros! Await and see!

Tottenham’s Willian Pacho

Pacho has made more tackles than Van de Ven and Romero combined.

One of Cristian Romero’s most notable defensive qualities is his aggression.

Argentines don’t fear anything. He’ll stop at nothing to get Tottenham back possession of the ball, and you can frequently witness him diving into tackles to do so.

Willian Pacho enjoys tackling as well, as evidenced by his stats. This season in the Bundesliga, the Ecuadorian international has attempted 62 tackles and won 50 of them (WhoScored).

In contrast, Romero has made two fewer attempts (58), and Micky van de Ven, his teammate in the back, has only made 44 (WhoScored).

When it comes to winning tackles, the two Spurs defenders are more successful, but Pacho has a lot of promise, and we believe he would get better if he joined Tottenham.
