Eric Dier asserts a significant Postecoglou point, saying, “Of all the managers I worked with

Eric Dier, who enjoyed playing for Tottenham under the Australian manager, believes Ange Postecoglou is among the best ten managers in the world of football right now.

Dier and Postecoglou didn’t actually work together for the entire six months that he was in England; during that time, the center back was little used by Tottenham and eventually moved to Bayern Munich.

Although Dier played a few games for Ange, it was well known that Postecoglou did not think highly of the Englishman compared to players such as Cristian Romero, Micky Van de Ven, Emerson Royal, and Ben Davies.

Eric Dier adores Ange Postecoglou.

Dier asserts that, despite his limited playing time, his ideal football style is most similar to Postecoglou’s of all the Tottenham managers he was under, including Mauricio Pochettino, Jose Mourinho, and Antonio Conte.

Alongside those managers—as well as Thomas Tuchel—he listed Postecoglou, saying that they all rank among the top 10 managers in international football at the moment.

“I absolutely loved working with Postecoglou for six months,” Dier stated (The Times). I gained a great deal of knowledge. Out of all the managers I have worked with, I believe my management style would most likely resemble Postecoglou’s. Simply put, there wasn’t a reciprocal sense of enjoyment when playing.

“Working with [Mauricio] Pochettino, [José] Mourinho, Conte, [Ange] Postecoglou, and now [Thomas] Tuchel has been an incredible blessing,” he continued. These five managers rank in the world’s top ten.

Now that Dier is no longer at Tottenham, I believe he will be treated with much more respect as a legend. When a player is no longer valuable, fans always expect loyalty and then throw them out. Dier deserves the utmost appreciation because he played a significant role in the club’s development over the past ten years.
