Star, who has 11 goals and 11 assists for Championship club, was coveted by Leeds for a £7 million deal in the summer

Grady Diangana of West Brom was one of many attacking stars linked to a summer transfer to Leeds United; the Whites were reportedly considering a £7 million bid for the winger.

With the winger’s contract at The Hawthorns about to expire, the 25-year-old’s long-term future is still up in the air. After a challenging few seasons, he’s finally rediscovering his form.

Burnley, Leicester, and Saudi Arabian teams were all interested in signing Diangana, and Leeds was exploring a £7 million deal for him last summer. However, he stuck with West Brom and is now at last getting back on track.

On Wednesday night, he scored as West Brom and QPR drew 2-2 in a match that they really ought to have lost. At Loftus Road, defender Cedric Kipre made a flagrant goalline handball, which the referee failed to see.

However, Diangana keeps finding the scoresheet and setting up goals for Carlos Corberan’s team. In 26 games this season for the Baggies, he already has seven goals and four assists.

Leeds could have used a player of Grady Diangana’s caliber, and he’s playing brilliantly for West Brom. While Dan James and Cree Summerville have been outstanding, Willy Gnonto and Jaidon Anthony haven’t lived up to the first-choice tandem save for a few fleeting moments.

Leeds may have found a steal in Diangana, who wowed Robert Snodgrass while he was at West Ham in 2018 for a pittance of £7 million. Leeds would have had a new attacking dimension with him.

Rather, he keeps on his good work for the Baggies as they attempt to hold onto a play-off spot over the course of the next ten league games. It’s possible that at the end of the season, we’ll play him in the playoffs.
