This summer, Newcastle United might receive a significant boost if one of their prior transfer targets is offered for sale.

Back in January, Newcastle had been keeping an eye on Aston Villa’s Jacob Ramsey, but their Premier League opponents would never sell in the midst of what is undoubtedly going to be a very vital season for them.

But according to a recent rumor from GiveMeSport, Villa may be obliged to put the 22-year-old on the transfer list during the upcoming window due to their financial difficulties.

Eddie Howe, who is eager to add additional depth to his Newcastle squad after the team suffered an unanticipated amount of injuries this season, has handed Newcastle a boost in their pursuit of the £50 million star.

It’s safe to say that the club saw Ramsey as a future star for their team because the 46-year-old head coach won’t want to deal with a situation like this in the midfield next season.

Howe would undoubtedly love to have Ramsey on his Newcastle team because he is one of those players who isn’t afraid to take a punch and give it his best for the group.

The £50 million midfielder’s preference for an attacking role is his sole drawback; Newcastle is looking for a more defensively minded player to shore up their defense for the upcoming season.

The Magpies are anticipating an enormous summer window.

Although Newcastle has had some success recently, they will be expecting a lot of changes in the summer to make any serious progress toward moving up to the Premier League’s next level.

In addition to Callum Wilson and Miguel Almiron, two players in their 30s who may be sold to raise some cash, there are still a number of Newcastle players who are on the outside looking in and will probably be let go.

This will be particularly true if Newcastle isn’t able to spend as much money as they had hoped to add some quality players to a club that is devoid of Champions League and trophy-winning experience.
