Dan James scored the game’s lone goal as Leeds United defeated Stoke City 1-0 at Elland Road on Tuesday. Joe Rodon delivered his assessment in the tunnel.
Despite Jonathan Hogg being sent off, Huddersfield stopped Leeds from taking all three points on Saturday, breaking a winning run of nine league games. One red card was fortunate.
Leeds returned to action three days later against Stoke, who were enjoying a boost in confidence following their 2-0 victory over Middlesbrough the previous weekend. Leeds had a better start.
After Leeds failed to capitalize on their dominance, James eventually scored, causing Daniel Farke to lose his cool on the sidelines. Georginio Rutter’s goal, his 15th season-long assist.
James and the Welshman made a stunning turn that stunned Aidy White in the commentary box before hammering the ball home via a deflection. Stoke entered the game in the second half-hour.

With Illan Meslier summoned into play, particularly very late in the game, they had a chance. Mateo Joseph rounded goalie Daniel Iversen and should have scored. Leeds, though, managed to hang on and win 1-0.
Southampton will play on Wednesday night. Ipswich defeated Bristol City 3-2 at Portman Road after coming back from behind twice. a tenth consecutive league victory with eight clean sheets.

This season, Tunnel Cam has gained popularity, with Georginio Rutter frequently participating. However, Rodon delivered the final say, saying, “They’re not always nice, you know what I mean.” All that matters is a clean sheet.
