Premier League star to miss the remainder of the campaign

According to sources who spoke to Football Insider, Ryan Sessegnon, a star for Tottenham, suffered another “devastating” blow to his career and will miss the remainder of the season due to hamstring surgery.

 

The 23-year-old sustained the most recent in a string of muscular injuries when competing for Spurs’ under-21 team against West Ham on February 17. He underwent surgery on his right hamstring on Monday of last week (February 26).

 

In the last twelve months, Sessegnon had been forced into the operating room twice; the first time, in July, he had surgery on his left hamstring.

 

The Englishman is reportedly not expected to play for Tottenham again this season and is instead anticipated to return for preseason.

 

Ryan Sessegnon, a star for Tottenham, won’t be playing this season.

Sessegnon’s return is scheduled for the 2024–2025 season, but he will require a significant amount of rest and recuperation.

 

This season, the former Fulham star has only made one professional appearance—a late substitute cameo in Spurs’ 1-0 FA Cup victory over Burnley in January.

 

 

Under Antonio Conte, he played a significant role in the first half of the previous season before being forced to miss action in the middle of February due to a hamstring injury.

 

Since his rumored £25 million transfer from the Cottagers in 2019, he has made 57 appearances for Tottenham, scoring three goals and providing four assists.

 

Tottenham defeated Crystal Palace 3-1 at home on Saturday afternoon, March 2, to move up to fifth place in the Premier League standings.

 

On Sunday afternoon, March 10, they will next play Aston Villa at Villa Park.
