“Just incredible”: A BBC pundit suggests Ange might add an exciting prodigy to the Spurs team this season

Former Tottenham right-back Alan Hutton, a pundit on BBC Radio 5 Live, has speculated that a young player would be called up to Ange Postecoglou’s team this season.

Ange wants Spurs to be the ideal place for up-and-coming talent in Europe.

In the past, Postecoglou has not hidden his desire for Spurs to develop become a destination of choice for some of Europe’s brightest young players.

We’re assembling a group. Regarding Tottenham’s attraction to talent, Postecoglou stated, “From our perspective, it’s pleasing, and hopefully we become a club which is a preferred destination for talented young players.”

There aren’t many undiscovered gems in the world because everyone is aware of their abilities. I’ve always believed that your football is, above all things, your greatest selling feature, which hopefully sets us apart. We should be able to demonstrate what is beneficial to us.

Technical director Johan Lange and associates tried to win the race for Club Brugge starlet Antonio Nusa during the January window in an effort to fulfill that dream.

Even though Brentford seemed to have a more straightforward first team pathway and ultimately beat them to the punch, the Norway starlet’s medical eventually failed, thus his future will once again be a heated topic of conversation this summer.

Spurs did, however, have a major saving grace when they signed highly regarded Swedish prodigy Lucas Bergvall. The 18-year-old was signed by the Lilywhites after they defeated Barcelona, and he is presently training at Djurgardens IF on loan until joining Postecoglou in the summer.

Hutton suggests Bergvall might have a shot in the Tottenham team.

Bergvall may be called up directly to the Tottenham squad, according to reports, and Hutton has hinted that this is a possibility. However, he will need to make an impression on the boss.

Hutton told Tottenham News, “They scout all these players and they know the quality that they have.”

“There will be a flash of inspiration; we’ve seen it happen with the aspirations of many people, and this is undoubtedly the same. Oh my goodness, that’s just incredible.”

However, I believe that what matters more is how he performs overall. After ten or fifteen games, how has he behaved? Has he demonstrated the ability you need to get started right away?

“I’m not quite sure how this will operate. Is his goal in joining Tottenham for the preseason and then seeing where it leads him? That, in my opinion, is the likely future.

After that, Ange will decide whether to include him on the squad for this season or in subsequent ones. Thus, it really depends on him and how he develops from now until the conclusion of the regular season and the start of the off-season.”
