James Maddison, who joined Tottenham Hotspur from Leicester City last summer, says he is absolutely loving life there and that he has settled in like a glove.

 

Maddison has only been with Tottenham for about seven months, and during that time he has been out for a significant amount of time, but now it feels like the midfield player has been there forever.

 

The 27-year-old has adapted to life with the Lilywhites in such a way that he has swiftly emerged as one of the team’s leaders.

 

With his amazing vision and ingenuity, the England international is the man who drives Spurs ahead and has gained the respect of his teammates very quickly.

Although Maddison has recently acknowledged that his debut season in N17 could not have gone any better, some Spurs fans believe he is already well on his way to becoming a future club icon.

 

The number ten said, as captured on camera by WeAreTottenhamTV, to fans gathered at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium’s special members-only H Club after the team’s victory over Palace: “I absolutely love it here.” The club seems to be tailor-made for me. Some of the guys who have filled my position on previous Spurs teams have always been favorites of mine.

 

“I simply saw there might be a gap for me to come in and slot into this side when I was looking at my alternatives in the summer. I’ve cherished it. I’m loved by all, so I appreciate that. I’m hoping we can make this work here.

Certain players are destined to play for Tottenham and establish a rapport with the supporters from the moment they arrive. The most apparent example that springs to mind is probably Rafael Van der Vaart, and Maddison has had a similar influence.

 

Spurs fans adore watching creative geniuses like these, so it’s no accident that both players are tens who can work magic with the ball.
