The most famous player in golf, Tiger Woods, is among the field of players in the renowned Seminole Pro-Member tournament on Monday. The field is made up of players from a wide range of professions.

Woods is paired with PGA of America CEO Seth Waugh in a foursome with two-time PGA Championship champion Justin Thomas and Mike Walrath, the chairman and CEO of the software business Yext, on the tee sheet shared on X by @5ClubsGolf for the two-person best-ball tournament.

And what about consecutive groups? The NFL great Tom Brady and his partner Tony Finau are playing right in front of Woods, along with the team that includes Ernie Els and South African businessman Johann Rupert.

With this putting technique, Akshay Bhatia is now a contender in the Mexico Open, competing against the heavyweights.

After being forced to withdraw from the second round of the PGA Tour’s Genesis Invitational in mid-February due to an illness, Woods is set to play.

The very elite Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach, Florida, which is currently ranked No. 10 in Golf Digest’s America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses, is where the Seminole Pro-Member got its start in 1937. Some of the best professionals attend the event to get ready for the Arnold Palmer Invitational next week. In the current circuit landscape, the API is a $20 million marquee event with just about 70 players in the field, so for some golfers, it will be their only tournament of the week.

One of the few top-ranked players in this week’s Cognizant Classic, Rory McIlroy, will play the Seminole alongside his father, Gerry. Padraig Harrington, another Irishman, and Ed Herlihy, the PGA Tour chairman, are also in their group.

Other elite players, such as past champions Collin Morikawa, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Nelly Korda, are also heavily represented in the field.

There are many powerful businessmen in the world. The disputed framework deal with Saudi Arabia’s PIF was reached with the help of commissioner Jay Monahan and Jimmy Dunne III, the president of the Seminole club, who joined the PGA Tour policy board in 2022. On Monday, he will perform alongside Ryan Fox, a Kiwi tour pro. The majority of people are familiar with Chuck Schwab, who founded the investing firm that bears his name and is a significant PGA Tour sponsor.

Even in light of the fact that Dunne has previously collaborated with current LIV players Dustin Johnson and Phil Mickelson, the club’s position is not all that shocking. In November, Dunne was appointed to the Policy Board of the PGA Tour. Ed Herlihy, the board chair of the PGA Tour, and Mark Flaherty, the member who shared the championship with Cantlay in 2022, are two additional Seminole members who are also board members. The PGA Tour is now embroiled in legal action with the newly established golf league and has prohibited any players who participate in the LIV Golf circuit from participating in PGA Tour tournaments.

Johnson, Ian Poulter, Martin Kaymer, Sergio Garcia, Cameron Tringale, Peter Uihlein, Hudson Swafford, Bubba Watson, Louis Oosthuizen, Branden Grace, Harold Varner III, and Andy Ogletree are among the players who competed in the 2022 Pro-Member.
