Spurs are “awakening” and “want to close” a free transfer for a “bargain” long-term Manchester United target

Spurs are “awakening” and “want to close” a free transfer for a “bargain” long-term Manchester United target.

Adrien Rabiot, a midfield player for Juventus, is reportedly being targeted by Tottenham to join on a free transfer this summer.

Under Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham has had great success this season. The Australian manager has drastically changed the team’s style of play.

With a game remaining against Unai Emery’s team, they are only five points behind fourth-place Aston Villa and are on track to qualify for Europe despite their most recent 2-1 loss to Wolves.

Tottenham’s top goal for the summer transfer window is to strengthen the midfield, and Postecoglou has been strongly linked to a January move for Conor Gallagher of Chelsea.

But Gallagher didn’t appear eager to leave Stamford Bridge, and Spurs didn’t seem want to match Chelsea’s asking price for their own midfield player.

And now, according to the Spanish newspaper Fichajes, Tottenham “wants to close” a deal for Rabiot after being “aroused” by the France international. Rabiot is another midfield player that they have their eye on.

Tottenham believes that signing him on a free transfer “would represent a real bargain” for Postecoglou’s team and that they may “take advantage of his contractual situation with Juventus to sign him.”

Although “anticipation is growing” for Rabiot’s possible arrival, Man Utd, the Juventus midfielder’s longtime admirer who has provided four goals and three assists in 22 Serie A games this season, might still have an influence on Rabiot’s destiny.

Dan Kilpatrick of the Evening Standard claims that Tottenham could recruit two new wingers, meaning they could also let go of summer signing Manor Solomon.

Kilpatrick declared: “Solomon was a free agent.” To get him from Shakhtar in those circumstances was a cunning or devious move.

“The Spurs would profit whatever they sell him for, if they decide to sell him at all. It would be shrewd business on his part, and if they acquire a few wingers in the summer, which is very much a possibility, I don’t think that option can be ruled out.

Pedro Neto, a winger for Wolves, is a potential candidate for that role. Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano provides an update on Neto’s future.

“Keep an eye on him for the summer,” Romano stated, “as I know that [Gary] O’Neil, the Wolves manager, has talked about Pedro Neto in the last few days.” While he did not promise that Pedro would go, he did raise the prospect of Pedro remaining at Wolves throughout the summer.

“However, based on what I’m hearing from others, Pedro Neto will probably go during the summer transfer window. Important clubs will be present on it. I am unable to name the clubs at this time since his agent has already gotten in touch with them. But it’s undeniable that teams like Arsenal and Tottenham have long recognized this.
