“Difficult proposition” David Prutton has made a score prediction for Leeds United’s match against Huddersfield today

In regards to Leeds United’s trip to Huddersfield Town today, David Prutton has offered his prediction.

The Whites will have a short turnaround from their close FA Cup loss to Chelsea on Wednesday night before they play in the West Yorkshire derby, where they hope to win ten straight league games.

Owing to Leeds’ fixture schedule, Farke has rested several important players in the middle of the week, so the team should be quite fresh for this afternoon’s game.

But, considering what happened at Elland Road during their first encounter and the fact that this is Andre Breitenreiter’s first home game as manager, Huddersfield will be ready for it.

While Breitenreiter has had a successful start to his Watford tenure, Prutton writes in his most recent weekly predictions column for Sky Sports that he just cannot back against Leeds at this time.

Prutton predicts a Yorkshire Derby victory for Leeds

“That was a fantastic victory for Huddersfield Town and Andre Breitenreiter at Watford last weekend,” he declared. It’s crucial for a new manager to start strong in this league because it prevented them from falling into the bottom three as well.

But this is a challenging offer. Leeds simply doesn’t appear to be able to give up points at this time. Last week, it appeared as though even fate was on their side against Leicester. Can they win ten straight games? It’s challenging to resist. Leeds 0–2 Huddersfield is the prediction.

Breitenreiter likes to play attacking football, so it will be intriguing to see how Huddersfield sets up. However, in October, Leeds shown their ability to counterattack.

Leeds should be well-prepared with players like Georginio Rutter and Crysencio Summerville, who tore apart the Terriers in their previous game.

Leeds, despite their recent success, really can’t afford to falter here given the performance of Ipswich Town, who trail Farke’s team only on goal differential.
