The reporter has learned West Ham’s owners are huge admirers of the Premier League manager Moyes has dominated this year

Gary O’Neill, the manager of Wolves, has been strongly touted to succeed David Moyes at West Ham United.

Despite West Ham’s 4-2 victory over Brentford on Monday, manager David Moyes is still under fire, and Gary O’Neill was recently projected to take Moyes’ job.

Prior to their triumph over the Bees, the Hammers were experiencing a terrible streak of eight games without a win.

Although things are starting to look bright again, the club is still unsure if Moyes will continue to be in charge once the current season ends.

I firmly believe that the Scot will be leaving if, between now and the end of the season, he is unable to elevate our playing to a new level.

And it appears that O’Neill could be a contender to succeed the 60-year-old.

The owners of West Ham are considering installing Gary O’Neill in place of David Moyes.

Dean Jones has revealed the potential replacement for Moyes that the owners of the Hammers may be considering.

The West Ham board is pleased with the work O’Neill is doing at Wolves, the football journalist told Give Me Sport:

“I suppose there is still concern about Gary O’Neil’s suitability as Wolves’ manager now that they are approaching the safe zone. Maybe they start to worry about whether they can hang on to O’Neil at this point. We’re currently approaching the point where West Ham will start looking for a new manager. Although Gary O’Neil won’t be their priority target, I’ve heard positive things about him. That is one to keep in mind because I would be shocked if he didn’t at least appear on a list of names if and when Moyes does wind up losing his job. I predict that Wolves supporters will suddenly fall even more in love with him and want him to stay as soon as he is connected to West Ham.

O’Neill is an excellent manager, and it is quite an accomplishment that his Wolves team is currently one point behind us in ninth place in the Premier League standings.

Just over ten years ago, the forty-year-old played for West Ham for two years. He is a very well-liked person in East London.

O’Neill plays a fast-paced, high-energy style of captivating football, and his Wolves team is truly thrilling to watch. The manager, who was born in Beckenham, exemplifies all that it takes to be a manager at West Ham.

The one exception to that, though, is that Moyes completely outclassed Gary O’Neill when West Ham defeated the Black Country team 3-0 at the London Stadium back in December. Which makes us wonder: would we really want a management who was so completely out of the loop as the Scot? In all honesty, I doubt we would.
