The Junior Invitational 2024, held at the Sage Valley Golf Club in Graniteville, South Carolina, from March 17–23, is where Minh, 16, will compete for the first time.

Leading amateur players as well as well-known visitors like Jason Day, Brooks Koepka, Rory McIlroy, and Tiger Woods will be present at the tournament.

The second competition takes place from April 19–21 at the Naples National Golf Club in Florida and is the 28th Terra Cotta Invitational. The majority of competitors this year rank in the top 100 worldwide.

Several golfers have become well-known after winning this 54-hole competition, which was held for the first time in 1996. Caleb Surratt, Justin Thomas, Peter Uihlein, and Matt Kuchar are a few of them.

The third one is the Western Amateur Championship, which takes place at the Moraine Country Club in Dayton, Ohio, from July 29 to August 3.

Four years after the U.S. Amateur, it made its debut in 1899. Legends like Tiger Woods (1994), Phil Mickelson (1991), and Jack Nicklaus (1961) have all won there.

The top amateur player in the country, Viet Nguyen, recently emerged victorious in the Kor-Viet LSG Invitational 2024 on February 16, capping a month-long training program at the Terra Lago Course in California’s Golf Story Winter CAMP 2023.

Playing against professional golfers from major golfing destinations including South Korea, India, and Canada as well as elite European athletes competing at the local colleges’ Division 1 system, it was his first experience training overseas.

The finest place for the Vietnamese player to practice is at Terra Lago, according to Minh’s father, manager, and caddie, Nguyen Dang Son. Minh had access to top-notch facilities and equipment, as well as coaches that met worldwide standards, for his training. Every week, they assisted him in becoming well.

Following the teenager’s stellar 2023, in which she won both local and international contests, she received invites from the United States.

He was the first Vietnamese winner of the Faldo Series Asia Final, having finished second in the Lexus Challenge. This happened in April.

At the 32nd SEA Games in May, he assisted Vietnam in winning bronze in the men’s singles and silver in the team event. In August, Minh and his Asia-Pacific teammates took home the Bonallack Trophy.

He raised the Vietnam Master trophy two months later. With a seventh-place performance at the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship in October, Minh was the best Vietnamese contestant since the competition’s inception in 2009.

In November, he finished second in the Faldo Junior Tour Europe Grand Final, and in December, he placed third in the Malaysian Amateur Open.

Earlier this month, Minh was named Vietnam’s Best Male Golfer of 2023 at an event.
