Report: The team has substituted a player who West Ham sold for just £3 million for a £70 million Tottenham target

Felipe Anderson, who West Ham sold in 2021, has now been lined up by Juventus to take Federico Chiesa’s position, who was wanted by Tottenham

Juventus is considering Felipe Anderson to replace Federico Chiesa.

The Italy international’s current terms are scheduled to expire in little over a year, but he is reportedly refusing to sign a new deal in Turin.

According to the Italian news source, Juventus is planning a summer sale since they can’t afford to lose Chiesa, who is worth £70 million, on a free transfer.

The search for a replacement is also part of those preparations; Anderson, whom West Ham sold to Lazio in 2021 for a mere £2.6 million, is in the running.

It follows Football Transfers’ report that Spurs are keeping an eye on the Italian’s circumstances at the Allianz Stadium.

According to a report from TuttoJuve, if Chiesa performs well at UEFA EURO 2024 this summer, Tottenham will be even more motivated to make a move for him.

With just six goals in 21 Serie A games this season, the Juventus No. 7 has struggled and lately drawn jeers from his own fans.

Tottenham has other options.

Spurs have other wide forwards they can target if a move for Chiesa doesn’t work out for whatever reason.

The Independent reports that Wolves No. 7 Pedro Neto, whom Ange Postecoglou is rumored to be a big fan of, is one possibility.

In 21 appearances across all competitions, the Portugal international has three goals and eleven assists, making for an incredible season.

If that pursuit fails as well, Spurs can simply use their option to pay £17 million to acquire Timo Werner permanently, something that RB Leipzig really anticipates happening.

A new forward could arrive at Tottenham this summer, so be sure to keep an eye on events there.
