Red Bull team principal Christian Horner’s wife, Geri Halliwell, is reportedly thinking of divorcing him due to his Formula One incident.
Following the public exposure of several texts pertaining to the investigation into his alleged “inappropriate behavior,” Horner was compelled to release a statement on Thursday.
Before a second wave of purportedly stolen texts surfaced on Friday, Halliwell—who rose to fame as Ginger Spice from pop trio the Spice Girls—was reportedly left “stunned” and “humiliated” by Thursday’s revelations.
Red Bull cleared Horner of any wrongdoing on Wednesday, and the team principal has consistently refuted the allegations. However, the drama is far from done as the season’s opening Formula One race takes place in Bahrain this coming weekend.
On Friday, word leaked out that Horner’s accusing employee feels “crucified” due to the expeditious manner of the probe, which came to a quick end earlier this week.
According to the Daily Mail, Halliwell is about to make the “biggest decision of her life,” which may or may not spell the end of her union with Horner.
The publication has been informed by sources that Halliwell “acts on impulse a lot,” “has a temper on her,” and had a “meltdown” in response to the first set of leaked texts.
Even though the couple’s marriage is “under question for the first time,” Halliwell intends to attend the Bahrain Grand Prix on Saturday as a public act of support.
She is expected to be by Horner’s side on the pre-race grid before the race starts.
Max Verstappen, a Red Bull athlete who is favored to win the race, has extended his support for Horner.
