Report: The January signing’s attitude has really impressed the Spurs staff.

According to The Independent, Ange Postecoglou and his coaching team are pleased with Timo Werner’s performance since joining Tottenham in January.

Since Werner had not made an impact during his two seasons at Chelsea, there was naturally a great deal of skepticism among the experts when Tottenham made the decision to sign him.

Though he hasn’t exactly made the world explode, he has made a respectable start to his time at the North London club, playing with the kind of passion that Postecoglou likes to see from his forwards.

Tottenham is pleased with the impression the 27-year-old has had, according to a report from SportBILD (via Sport Witness) two weeks ago. The Bundesliga team anticipates that North London will exercise its £17 million option to buy the player permanently in the summer.

Tony Cascarino, who recently accused the German international of being predictable and insisted that he appears like a worse player than he did at Chelsea, is not the only critic of the player (talkSPORT).

Tottenham is happy with Timo Werner’s demeanor.

The Independent claims that, despite the clamor from the outside, Werner’s Spurs career has received a lot of favorable internal feedback at Hotspur Way.

According to the report, the German international’s level of willingness has so far impressed the club’s personnel.

The source claims that Tottenham is already looking for another elite winger for the summer, but it does not specify if the team plans to use its option to sign Werner permanently.

Werner hasn’t been particularly good, but he has already proven that he can be a valuable member of the team. With Son’s return from the Asian Cup, the German is no longer expected to start, but his directness and pace will be a valuable asset to have off the bench.
