Werner’s future at Anfield remains uncertain, but following multiple seasons in which he failed to score more than ten goals for Chelsea and Leipzig, the 27-year-old is currently trying to revive his career in north London.
Werner’s contract reportedly includes a £17 million buy-option for Spurs, so this brief stint may be considered a trial run before Ange Postecoglou’s team decides whether to recruit him on a permanent basis.
