Eric Dier will sign a long-term contract to join Bayern Munich

Eric Dier will sign a long-term contract to join Bayern Munich.

According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Eric Dier, a defender for Bayern Munich, is expected to make his loan move permanent.

Dier will commit to the team for a single year, ending in 2025. There were conditions in the initial loan arrangement that needed to be fulfilled in order for the permanent move to happen, and those conditions have now been satisfied. This concludes his ten-year relationship with Tottenham Hotspur, during which he participated in the Champions League final in 2019 with the team.

Dier has made six appearances since coming from Spurs in the winter, when injuries and suspensions forced Bayern into a defensive crisis.

Bayern is currently eight points behind league leaders Bayer Leverkusen in second place in the Bundesliga. This season appears to be the club’s time to end their 11-year grasp on the championship.
