Craig Hope discusses what he learned yesterday regarding Eddie Howe’s future at Newcastle.

In the midst of speculation that Eddie Howe would be replaced this summer, journalist Craig Hope revealed how Newcastle United’s owners truly feel about him.

In an attempt to advance the team to new heights, it was revealed last night that Newcastle may be eyeing a move for Germany head coach and former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann.

But Hope said on X last night that Howe has the full support of Newcastle’s owners, who intend to use him to lead them through a busy summer.

BLACKBURN, ENGLAND – FEBRUARY 27: Eddie Howe, Manager of Newcastle United, applauds the fans after the team’s victory in the Emirates FA Cup Fifth Round match between Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle United at Ewood Park on February 27, 2024 in Blackburn, England.

Right now, Newcastle is fully in support of Howe.

With Dan Ashworth out of the picture, plans are already in place for Newcastle’s summer window onslaught, and it’s highly probable that Howe will have a significant influence on any prospective additions.

They haven’t had the best of seasons due to a glut of injuries and an early Champions League exit, but they still have a second-round match to look forward to and are in the running for Europe.

With their most recent loss sending them down to 10th place in the Premier League, Howe will be under more pressure than ever to prove himself.

However, it appears that he will have another opportunity to show himself the next season, with a much better roster that includes the return of Sandro Tonali, who will be treated like a new signing.

Hope wrote on X, saying, “We at Newcastle are committed to and believe in Eddie Howe as a long-term player. Making plans for a busy summer ahead.

This follows earlier #nufc claims in the German press about interest in Germany’s manager, Julian Nagelsmann.

At Newcastle, things may change suddenly.

In a time where teams switch managers every other month in an effort to find the best fit, it’s encouraging to see the owners have complete faith in Howe as their manager for the time being.

Nevertheless, he must have a great finish to the season or he would be extremely vulnerable heading into the upcoming campaign and will essentially need to start strong.

There is still a lot to play for, but in a few weeks they may be eliminated from the FA Cup and slipping more and farther behind the European berths, which would put them in the middle of the table or lower part of the standings.

That would put the owners’ tolerance to the test, and it would be interesting to see how much support they would offer him come summertime.
