Last night, Leeds United supporters who traveled a great distance to Stamford Bridge were rewarded to a fantastic show.
Chelsea’s FA Cup trip may have ended, but they were unable to secure a spot in the final eight until Conor Gallagher’s goal in the ninetieth minute.
Mateo Joseph had given Leeds the lead early on with his first goal for the team, but goals from Nicolas Jackson and Mykhaylo Mudryk allowed Chelsea to regain the lead.
After that, one would have assumed Chelsea would win handily, but Leeds was by much the stronger team at the half, and Joseph managed to tie the score with his second of the evening.
Even though Leeds lost the game in the end, the crowd expressed gratitude for the effort both during and after. During the full-time show on ITV Sport, Laura Woods praised the away end as “amazing.”

“We should give a nod to Leeds because, first and foremost, their fans were incredible over there,” the speaker stated. They were really noisy the entire time.
Daniel Farke expressed dissatisfaction with the game’s scheduling and made it clear during the build-up that he still had Huddersfield Town on his radar for this weekend.
