In response to reports concerning Eric Dier from various German media, Sky Deutschland has recently stated that the center defender has performed well since moving from Tottenham to Bavaria.

Many were taken aback when Dier was chosen by Bayern Munich to join them last month, but the center defender has made six appearances in the Bundesliga since moving to the Allianz Arena, so far, the move has paid off.

According to Sport Bild last week, the German club was having some worries about the 30-year-old’s performances and lack of pace.

The publication noted that if Dier continued to play, a clause would automatically be activated, costing the Bundesliga team €3 million (£2.5 million) in order to sign him on a permanent basis.

According to the source, Thomas Tuchel, the person who signed the former Tottenham player, is leaving the team at the end of the current campaign, raising questions about the player’s future there.

Munich Bayern

Dier has made an impact for Bayern Munich.

Sky Deutschland, however, has now reported on the center back in a very different way, implying that people in Bavaria are pleased with his performances.

The criticism that was present when the England international first arrived, according to reports, “no longer exists” in light of his impressive performances.

Like Bild, the article speculates that Tuchel’s departure from the team could place the defender in a “tough situation,” given that the former Chelsea manager was a driving force behind the defender’s acquisition.

Regarding the departure of the Bayern manager, Dier is also quoted by Sky Deutschland as stating, “It’s disappointing.” I came here because of him. We get along well with each other. It’s unfortunate anyway, as he’s an excellent coach.

Spurs  Views

Dier might run into trouble with Tuchel’s departure because, should the German be replaced by a manager who prefers progressive football with a high line, the former Tottenham player might not fit in with the system and might have to look for a new team.
