Australian LIV conversion Marc Leishman has jumped to Greg Norman’s defense following an assault by Tiger Woods, who claimed that the Shark needs to “step aside” in order for the war in golf to cease.

However, regardless of who was in control, Adam Scott was less certain about the necessity for the two tours to collaborate at all and was unclear about any possibility for cooperation with the PGA Tour.

Following in the footsteps of world No. 1 Rory McIlroy, Woods said Norman “has to go” from his post at LIV, claiming he was attempting to “destroy the PGA Tour.”

“If you have legal action against you, there is no willingness to negotiate,” Woods declared prior to his Hero World Challenge match.

Greg needs to leave first. How do you handle it when one side is so hostile and attempting to ruin our tour?

Woods wants Norman to step down in order for the two tours to come to an agreement.

Leishman, who came to LIV with world No. 3 Cameron Smith, wasn’t eager to get involved in the verbal sparring but he did back Norman, who helped entice the two to the league supported by Saudi Arabia.

“I believe that Greg has done an excellent job; he has the players,” Leishman stated while in Melbourne getting ready for the Australian Open, which is one of his only two events outside of the LIV competitions.

I believe that everyone has an opinion about it, and they are all right to have one. Right now, I’m just content with my current situation. I’m content to pursue my work in silence and avoid getting involved in such matters.

Although Woods and McIlroy seemed to be “speaking for the PGA Tour these days,” Scott said he didn’t see the rival groups reconciling anytime soon.

Scott remarked, “I guess they’re speaking for the PGA Tour somewhat these days.”

However, I’m not sure what this coming together is about. Is that anything that someone made up? As in, is that even possible? I’m not sure.

Adam Scott, an Australian golfer, wants the rivalry between the two tours to stop and for them to just concentrate on playing golf.

“It seems like all conjecture to me, and I’m really not involved at all.”

I really believe that LIV and the PGA Tour should continue with their respective endeavors, and I’m not sure if they will pursue their goals jointly or not.

However, I don’t think that for the benefit of the game, they have to be together or apart.

Though it’s a major shake-up and we’re not used to it, I believe the best interests of the game will triumph. And that’s where I believe it is right now.
