If Spurs make it to Europe, Daniel Levy, the manager of Tottenham, might have to sign a £30 million contract

Next season, Tottenham might find it difficult to comply with UEFA’s squad requirements

If Ange Postecoglou leads Spurs to European qualification this summer, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy might have to send a player with club experience back to North London. Reunion rumors with former Lilywhites star Kyle Walker-Peters are intensifying, and a summer transfer would enable Tottenham to comply with UEFA rules.

Due to three issues, Bayern Munich is “trying to avoid triggering Dier purchase clause.”

There are ‘three wealthier clubs’ that could contact Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou.

Four “club-trained” players must be a part of a 25-man List A squad, according UEFA regulations. Spurs now fall short of that group as only Oliver Skipp, Brandon Austin, and Alfie Whiteman qualify.

Children Troy Parrott and Max Robson would both be eligible starting in the next season, though neither player’s continued status with the team is guaranteed. Japhet Tanganga may also depart permanently following the end of his loan period at Millwall.

Spurs will have to enter UEFA competition with a smaller List A squad if they are unable to identify four individuals who have received club training. Unless they bring in Walker-Peters to assist in meeting the quota, that is.

Don’t overlook… Spurs are prepared to “go all out” to sign Alexis Mac Allister, a player they “like a lot.”

Hull City vs. Southampton FC – Sky Bet Championship

For Southampton in the Championship this season, Kyle Walker-Peters has played every minute.

After completing his training at Tottenham, the 26-year-old was signed by Southampton in 2020 after serving seven years in the academy. The deal that brought him to St Mary’s is said to have included a £30 million buy-back clause included by Spurs.

Walker-Peters is getting close to the end of his deal, so he might be available for even less money, especially if the Saints don’t make it out of the Championship.

Spurs’ pursuit of a full-back who can play on either flank during the summer transfer window is expected to involve HITC tipping them to pursue Walker-Peters, who has two senior caps for England.

In Postecoglou’s debut season in charge, Tottenham appears set to make it into the Europa League, the Champions League, or the Europa Conference League. They are currently two points behind Aston Villa in fourth position in the league, sitting in fifth place.

Werner and Dragusin are welcomed to Tottenham by Postecoglou

Emerson Royal and Pedro Porro are already competing for Walker-Peters’ preferred right-back position. Even though Porro has had a significant impact on this campaign, there are still concerns about whether Royal is a good fit for Postecoglou’s framework.

Walker-Peters has contributed two goals and two assists in every minute of play for Southampton, who are now in fourth place in the second division.
