It appears that Willy Boly and Ibrahim Sangare have both returned to Nottingham Forest today.

Both of them are back on Trentside after winning the African Cup of Nations with the Ivory Coast.

As the players reported for duty at the Forest training facility today, they were both captured in a picture.

Willy Boly and Ibrahim Sangare rejoin Nottingham Forest

This is huge news, and the Forest team greeted the two with wide arms when they returned earlier today.

Following a hero’s welcome back to training, the two players were pictured with their teammates while the Ivory Coast flags were flown.

In spite of nearly losing in the group stages, the host country emerged victorious against Ola Aina and Nigeria in the championship match.

While they were away at the AFCON, Sangare and Boly were missed, and Nuno Espirito Santo will be happy to see them both.

The two received a hearty welcome back after the footage was posted earlier on the team’s official social media accounts.

Now, with Forest playing Aston Villa on Saturday, it will be all out for the team, with Boly and Sangare probably in the running.

Boly and Sangare will each have their role to play.

Since that neither player played much, they should both actually return relatively rested.

Sangare did make a late appearance in the championship game and looked impressive by winning four headers.

From a Forest viewpoint, though, the competition proved beneficial as the two managed to escape injury.

There is little doubt that between now and the end of the campaign, Sangare and Boly will have roles to play.

Nuno Espirito Santo takes great satisfaction in his defensive stability, and the two will be crucial to the team’s success in the closing months of the season.
