Doctor: Tottenham midfielder is unlikely to start vs Crystal Palace due to risk of new injury

Dr Rajpal Brar said that Giovani Lo Celso, a midfielder for Tottenham, is unlikely to start the match against Crystal Palace.

According to the injury expert, the Argentina international is not playing with match sharpness and could suffer another setback.

On February 17, the 27-year-old returned to action in a 2-1 loss to Wolves, however he only saw five minutes of action from the bench.

Dr. Brar, a sports scientist and physical therapist, said of Lo Celso’s play exclusively to Tottenham News: “He is severely lacking match fitness and will be more susceptible to re-injury.”

“I don’t see him starting a game until he has a few bounce games because he is far from being 100%.”

“Due to a muscular injury, he has missed almost six weeks of play. The club will take precautions behind the scenes to make sure he doesn’t overdo it.”

Is Lo Celso going to quit Tottenham come summertime?

This season, Lo Celso has made 11 appearances in the league and has two goals and two assists.

Even though he has international experience, Ange Postecoglou does not usually start him, and he has mostly played off the bench.

Postecoglou Ange

Ange Postecoglou has quickly gained the respect of Tottenham fans.

His contract expires in the summer of 2025, so if the Spurs want to make a move, they should take advantage of any interest expressed by June of this year.
