One Manchester United player is selected by Erik ten Hag and the Luton manager for the Red Devils’ victory at Kenilworth Road.

Saying that every victory for Manchester United has been “hard fought” has become a common refrain. However, there’s no other way to characterize the triumph over Luton. Fortunate, maybe?

Manchester United was brilliant for ten minutes. Luton really put the Red Devils under pressure throughout the final 80 minutes.

Rasmus Hojlund’s two goals early in the game helped United win 2-1 in the end.

The fact that Manchester United finished with just 11 players was also rather remarkable. Erik ten Hag had to use cunning to catch Casemiro before halftime in order to keep him from receiving a red card.

Casemiro replaced him prior to his dismissal.

At halftime, Casemiro was changed out for Scott McTominay. After receiving a booking in the 34th minute, Casemiro had to tread carefully.

It wasn’t a balance beam. For a further forty-five minutes, Erik ten Hag wanted the Brazilian to tread. In addition, Harry Maguire was replaced by Jonny Evans.

In his post-match remarks, the manager clarified, saying, “I saw the referee’s reaction and thought they could go off with the next one.” McTominay and Evans are capable substitutes for him. Avoid taking the chance. It seemed like the appropriate choice to me.

Manager of Luton Rob Edwards concurred with Erik ten Hag that Casemiro might not have finished the match.

“I think him coming off at half time was a tell tale sign to that one,” he said to BBC Sport.

Casemiro embodies a walking red flag.

Casemiro is currently unable to avoid a booking. In five of his last six Manchester United games across all competitions, he has received a yellow card.

Even though the match he played against Villa last week was blatantly unfair, the Brazilian does not have an easy life.

Quinton Fortune, a former United player, supported him by saying on MUTV, “They are overloading us in the midfield.” The only player guarding for us is Casemiro because we have so many attackers.
